by Joe Okoro

The successful network marketers of our time do not sell their products or the opportunity. They market themselves, then their products and ultimately the products. Marketing does not involve trying to convince a prospect to buy a product as selling does, instead it builds relationship first with a prospect, find out the needs and supply a product to fill that need.

Marketing on the Internet also means gradually leading a prospects slowly through a series of follow up autoresponder emails designed towards building a relationship with him while mildly advertising a product to him. However, to help him appreciate this, you need to let him understand why he needs the product. This will help you to connect with the prospect psychologically and help him desire your product before you present it.

Successful network marketers of our time used Internet marketing technology to create a huge success for themselves. They developed marketing funnels designed to automatically build relationships with all their prospects at the same time. This eventually helps the prospect to remember and like the marketer eventually.

When this is effectively done, your prospects are thankful to you that you are interested in their welfare and they patronize you out of a true need and also because they see you as a trusted online friend who has great tips for them.

If you understand from this very information the value of marketing instead of selling and also of using the Internet to build a successful network marketing business, then you would have left the massive 99 percent of network marketers who are not using it to their advantage in this great and rewarding industry.
